Get into the game to win. You can’t be a winner and afraid to lose.
Did you know that some of the greatest successes in the world resulted after the most failures? Thomas Edison had 1,073 failures before he successfully invented the electric light bulb. Where would the world be, if he decided to give up before 1,074 trys? The law of average was on his side as it is on your side when you consider that the more you try the greater chances of your succeeding.
The first step towards success is always taking the risk. If you don’t take the risk, you will never win. However, if you do take the step you are winning while you are trying.
Consider that every wrong attempt that Thomas Edison made was a right attempt to getting closer to success. Failures, mistakes, errors, are all just the answers that we seek while achieving success. Failures, tell us to look in other directors. Like the law of average, without failure, their would be no success.
We must make up our minds to accept failure as a step toward victory. We must learn to overcome thousands of obstacles, but to win in spite of thousands of defeats.
You can’t be a winner and be afraid to lose.
Quitters never win and Winners never quit

I am taking my own advice and craving out this time to spend with myself and with you. My priority is a little different now. I am going to sit back and “Enjoy the Coffee.” Let me share a little story that I once heard. “A group of alumni, highly established in their careers got together to visit their old university professor. They begin to talk and soon their conversation turned toward many of the stresses and problems in their lives. The professor just looked at all the nicely dressed women, who seemed like they didn’t have a problem in the world, and quietly turned from her invited guest and went into the kitchen.
The professor returned shortly with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups- porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, and some just plain looking. Some cups were expensive, some exquisite, some just chipped, and old…The Professor invited her guest to help themselves to a cup and have a cup of coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in their hand, the professor said. “ you notice , all the nice looking expensive cups were taken, leaving behind, the plain and cheap ones. while it is normal for us to want the very best for ourselves, that is the source of many of our problems and stresses. Let me assure you that cup itself added no quality to the coffee. It was just more expensive and in most cases it even hid the coffee. The whole idea for getting the cup was to hold the coffee. But consciously many of you went for the best cups, and then began eyeing each others cups. Now consider this; if the coffee was symbolically “Life.” And the “CUP” is the job, money and position in society. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of the life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee that God has brewed for us. God brews the coffee, not the cups…

Well, I told you that I would be back to began our journey of inspiration. Let’s start here.
With choosing the time to get together.” Did you know that there is a lack of present not only black women, but all women in the cyber world of blogging. You probably wonder is that significant. Wow, absolutely, Our presence must be seen and heard in every productive part of society. Cyber space is Huge, we want to be a part of it. So often we as women become involved with great ideas, that will promise to change our mind. And, you know what…we do it, for all of about a week. Now let’s ask ourselves why if something promises to improve our lives, why give up on it after only one or two week. If we answer honestly, many of us will say, “I just don’t have the time.” If you don’t have the time, who does the time belong to. Isn’t the time yours to decide, how you will spend it. What if I suggest that you always have enough time if you use it wisely. Just maybe that lack of time may equate to a decision of priorities. I will challenge you to take a small inventory of what you did today in your life, that you could have bypassed and spent that same time doing something special for yourself

Hello, All my name is Betty Diggs, and I just spent the last days trying to decide how I would start my new blog, “Inspiring Women.” Then it darned on me, I am wasting too much time thinking about an introduction, when I could use that same valuable time to tell you how I hope to get to know all of you over the next few week, months, even years. We can grow together and inspire each other. You see my blog will not be about me inspiring you, it will be about sisters inspiring sisters. Lets share the joys of our lives, the dreams that will come true, because we will learn to wake up and live our dreams instead of just closing our eyes and dreaming. You see, let’s face it, when you are dreaming your eyes are closed, and when your eyes are closed you don’t know which direction to take. We’ll talk about “Why a dream is just a Dream.” And who’s dream is it anyway! We will begin by understanding what “to inspire” mean, and how it really relates to us. What is the difference between motivation and Inspiration? We’ll talk about what inspires, motivates, and pushes us to take action. Let’s even talk about what we must do to remove whatever stops us from taking action.
